Thanks and blessings to James and Elizabeth Stewart who have given their Seidlemann ’25 to Children of Glory.  With chandlery and cleaning complete, she will be relaunched as Tahela, the praise that God inhabits. 

Berthed at Eagle Mountain Lake, Tahela will be used to teach our children to sail, for youth events and for fellowship.  Greg will be preparing an adult cadre to sail her and we expect to have our first youth event in mid-September.

This is the last of eight weeks, and, my, oh my how the Summer has flown past.  The children have florished spiritually, mentally and bodily — the creative arts program has indeed been the means to bring them closer to Jesus, to know Him in worship and prayer.  

With a few modifications, COG’s Life Camp continues as we launch our After-School ministry.  We will post our Fall schedule with brocheur in two weeks.

Becky Fisher accepted Apostle Orlando Reyes’ invitation to preach at Without Walls on July 11th.  She is as proud of our kids as he is — that the kids of Life Camp together with the children of Without Walls  have whole-heartedly embraced Jesus and the gifts He has given.  Life Camp kids are excited to move to the next level.

With two weeks to go before Becky Fisher’s arrival, our kids are preparing for ministry as they worship.  This year’s annual visit to Without Walls (July 7th – 11th) features Becky’s Kids in Ministry (Kimi, www.kidsinministry.org)  “‘And God Said’”, Can God’s Word be trusted?”  The kids are so excited and are believing for an explosion as God’s blessing, our preparations, and Becky Fischer’s amazing teaching and annointing COLLIDE!   They are getting ready to participate with her in ministry to the congregation.

Pastors Orlando and JoAnn Reyes, Apostles of Without Walls Church and founders of The Hope Center, East Fort Worth have partnered with Children of Glory Ministries to produce a summer-long Life Camp.  Kids from age 5 to 15 join us from 9am to 3:30pm Monday, Wednesday and Thursday.  Life camp includes: The Word, praise, worship, panio keyboard, dance, and life skills.   Our team is joined by musicians from Without Walls as we teach the children.  Nutritious breakfasts, lunches and snacks are being served.  Classes begin on June 7th and end August 5th.

Children of Glory is meeting on Friday evenings with the children and youth of Iglesia Misionera Jesus Cristo es el Senor at Prince of Peace Church in Arlington.   This new congregation is excited about the Children’s Choir and the training and equipping that is being provided for the children and youth to become  skilled worship leaders and musicians that will lead God’s people into His presence.

St Demetrius Greek Orthodox Church in Ft. Worth has recently given to Children of Glory use of it’s former church and parish hall located at 2022 Ross. Within walking distance of four schools it provides an ideal location to carry out the mission and vision of Children of Glory. An after-school Choir/Dance/Drama program will begin as soon as preparations are completed on the building. 

We are in need of lightweight tables, chairs, risers for the choir,  microphones, recording equipment, speakers, video cameras, musical instruments (guitars, piano keyboards, drums, stringed instruments, etc.)  Please contact Sherry Sherwood (817 726 2126) or Catalina Starnes (817 874 8888) for more information or to donate items.

We also need volunteers to help paint and repair the building.

Dear Friends in the Lord

Many of you have known me since the Lord put the vision of Children of Glory into my heart in June of 2005, and, some of you are newly met. I do know that you are all obedient, faithful friends of God and are passionate about pleasing Him.
